When I was first set up my first RC Helicopter, I could not find anybody to ask what would be an appropriate pinion to use. I did not even have a clue about RC helicopter head speed and I was scared to use a tachometer to measure the head speed when my RC helicopter was spinning. My first MX400 Helicopter set up only gave me 3 minutes flight time and the tail case got popped up and flew like a rocket because I ran too high head speed.

With these calculators, you can change target head speed, main gear T and other variables and you'll know your pinion T and head speed in second.  You can open them and use them on the Internet or you can download them, save them on your desktop and use them whenever you wish or send them to your friends. Feel free to pass them on to anybody you know. If you screw them up for some reason, just come back and download again.

Notes: HeliTown.COM is not responsible for any damage or accident you get into with your RC helicopter.

As you know, knowing your RC helicopter head speed your are flying is very important. This calculator will help you to know the rough estimate head speed.  You need to use a tachometer to get a better idea.
